A Salad of Activites

.

The Midwest Culinary Institute is dedicated to the education of young culinarians and also provides great co-op educational experiences.  All full-time faculty members are certified members of the American Culinary Federation and are dedicated to the professional growth of both the chef and pastry chef within the Midwest.  Partnered with the University of Cincinnati we are able to offer dual enrollment so our students can go forward and earn their bachelor's degree

  Our Purpose

The purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of our common interests. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger.

Our mission is to further promote the interests of our organization and our members to the community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach.

While at school students at the Midwest Culinary Institute participate in both chapter and school activities.  They provide culinary experiences for the whole student body through the student activity center.  For instance, they provide both the food and support for the big Mardi gras celebration each year hosted by the student Senate. They also participate in scholarship fund raising at such events as "One night 12 kitchens" and "Seven days for SIDS." By doing this they learn the soft skills they need to be the chefs and food and beverage directors of the future.
